# Trading

The trade page is where you buy and sell any listed token. It brings the chart, an order panel with market and limit orders, take profit and stop loss on every trade, cross-chain execution, and the token's live activity together on one screen. This page explains how each part works; the click by click how-tos are linked throughout and gathered at the end.

{% hint style="info" %}
Open a token's trade page from any project card in the [Marketplace](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/marketplace) or from the navbar search. For the full walkthrough, see [Placing a trade](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/placing-a-trade).
{% endhint %}

### The trade panel

The order panel sits beside the chart. Two connected pills set your side, **Buy** or **Sell**, and a dropdown next to them sets the order type, **Market** or **Limit**.

* On a **buy**, you enter an amount in your display currency, with quick buttons for common sizes.
* On a **sell**, you enter how much of your holding to sell, with 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% shortcuts.

Once you enter an amount, a summary appears above the trade button: **You receive** (the estimate), the **Exchange rate**, **Min. received** (the least you accept after slippage), and **Estimated fees**, which expands to the full breakdown. Fees are shown before you confirm. Press the trade button, which reads back exactly what will happen, and approve it once.

{% hint style="info" %}
Order type is a dropdown, not a tab. Open it next to the Buy and Sell pills and choose **Market** to fill now at the current price, or **Limit** to set a target price the order fills at later. See [Market & Limit Orders](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/trading/market-and-limit-orders) for how each one behaves.
{% endhint %}

<details>

<summary>Is there an order book?</summary>

No. Listed tokens trade on a bonding curve or a DEX pool, not a central order book, so the left panel shows a live **Trades** feed rather than bids and asks. A limit order is held and monitored for you until the market reaches your target, then it fills automatically.

### Charts

The chart is powered by TradingView. You switch timeframes from seconds up to a full day, and layer on TradingView's built-in indicators and drawing tools for your own analysis.

| Group       | Timeframes           |
| ----------- | -------------------- |
| **Seconds** | 1s, 5s, 15s, 30s     |
| **Minutes** | 1m, 3m, 5m, 15m, 30m |
| **Hours**   | 1h, 4h, 6h, 12h, 24h |

Daily, weekly, and monthly timeframes are not offered. The chart stays focused on the short intervals these fast-moving tokens trade on.

### Take profit and stop loss

Every trade can carry take profit (TP) and stop loss (SL) levels, set before you trade from the **Advanced trading strategy** section above the trade button. TP closes part of a position once it moves into profit; SL closes it once it moves against you.

Each level has two fields rather than a fixed price:

* **% change from entry** sets how far the price must move from your entry before the level triggers.
* **% position to sell** sets how much of the position closes when it does.

Add levels with **Add TP**, **Add SL**, or **Add TP/SL**, stack more than one of each, and drag any level as a line on the chart.

{% hint style="info" %}
There is no fixed trigger price and no risk or reward ratio to fill in. You describe each exit by how far the price moves and how much to sell, and ZeroTick watches the levels and closes those portions for you.
{% endhint %}

### Execution presets

Every order carries the settings of your active execution preset: priority fee, tip, slippage tolerance, and MEV protection, saved separately for buys and sells. **P1**, **P2**, and **P3** hold your own combinations; open the gear icon to change them in the **Edit presets** modal. A fourth preset, **Fast** (the flame icon), is a fixed fastest-fill setting you switch to with one click.

{% hint style="warning" %}
The **Fast** preset accepts a wide slippage tolerance and turns MEV protection off so orders land on volatile launches. That exposes you to a worse fill and to MEV such as sandwich attacks, and ZeroTick asks you to confirm before it activates. Switch back to **P1**, **P2**, or **P3** when you no longer need it.
{% endhint %}

[Execution presets](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/execution-presets) covers how to configure each one.

### Instant trade

**Instant trade** is a one-click market buy at your active preset, with no confirmation step. The button sits in the token data tab row and, once set, shows the amount it will spend, for example **Instant · $50**.

You set that amount once as the **Instant Buy amount** in **Account & Security**. The first time you press **Instant trade** without an amount saved, ZeroTick opens Account & Security so you can set it; every later press buys immediately.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Instant trade fires the moment you click, with no review screen. Set an amount you are comfortable spending in a single tap.
{% endhint %}

### Cross-chain trading

You hold one wallet with an address on every supported chain, so you can pay with an asset on one chain to buy a token that lives on another. At the top of the panel, the **Buy with** selector (**Sell for** when you are selling) sets the asset you pay with; it lists native coins such as SOL, ETH, BNB, and MONAD, with stablecoins below a **Stablecoins** divider. A trade becomes cross-chain the moment the pay asset sits on a different chain than the token.

There is no separate quote to accept. You enter an amount, approve the trade once, and ZeroTick settles the cross-chain part for you, then delivers the token to your own wallet on the token's chain. Progress shows in plain language, **Trade submitted** then **Trade complete**, and a cross-chain trade takes a little longer than a same-chain one.

{% hint style="info" %}
In V0 the most reliable cross-chain trade pays with a native coin (such as ETH or BNB) to buy a token on another EVM chain. If a pair is not supported yet, the trade button tells you and you can pick a different pay asset. See [Cross-Chain Trading](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/trading/cross-chain-trading) for the full picture.
{% endhint %}

### Token data tabs

Below the chart, a row of tabs covers everything about the token you are trading.

| Tab                    | What it shows                                                          |
| ---------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Trades** | Live buy and sell activity for this token. |
| **Positions & orders** | Your open positions, resting orders, and order history for this token. |
| **Holders** | The token's holders and how supply is distributed. |
| **Top traders** | The most active traders on this token, ranked. |
| **Dev tokens** | Other tokens launched by this token's creator. |
| **Token info** | Contract and creator addresses, chain, socials, and project details. |

### Copy trading

You can copy another trader's buys and sells automatically. Copies run from a dedicated copy wallet that you fund and can withdraw from at any time; they spend only from there, never your main wallet.

* You set the limits: an amount per trade, an optional daily cap, and a total budget. Copies never exceed them.
* Sells are mirrored: when the trader you copy exits a position, your copied position closes too.
* Smart Copy screens each token first and skips ones it flags as risky.
* A performance fee applies only when a copied position closes in profit, so no profit means no fee. The exact fee, and the share that goes to the trader you copy, is shown before you start and in [Fees & Pricing](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/fees-and-pricing).

Copy trading carries risk: a trader's past results do not guarantee future ones, copied trades can fill at different prices than the trader's, and following a wallet is not a recommendation by ZeroTick.

Trading moves real funds on public chains, and an executed order cannot be reversed. Read the [Risk & Legal Disclaimer](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/risk-and-legal-disclaimer) before you trade.
