# Instant trade

Instant Buy places a market buy with a single press: no amount to type, no review screen, no confirmation. You save a USD amount once, and every press of an Instant button spends exactly that on the token in front of you.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Instant Buy fires immediately, with no confirmation. The moment you press the button, a real market buy is sent; there is no review step and no undo. Save an amount you are comfortable spending in a single press.
{% endhint %}

#### Where the buttons are

ZeroTick shows an Instant button in three places. All three place the same order: a market buy of that token for your saved amount, executed with your active execution preset. Hovering any of them shows the **Instant buy** tooltip or the active preset.

If you are signed out, pressing any of them asks you to sign up or log in first.

#### Set your Instant Buy amount

The amount is set in one place only: the **Instant Buy amount** card in **Account & Security**. There is no amount field next to the buttons themselves.

![The Instant Buy amount card in Account & Security, where the USD amount per press is set](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ZeroTick-Trade/Public-Assets/2e6995eabfe14239fd7ead6ac3785fe21c7dc747/docs/guides/trading/instant-trade/02-amount-card.png)

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
**Open the Instant Buy amount card**

Press any Instant button. While no amount is saved, the button does not trade; it opens **Account & Security** and highlights the **Instant Buy amount** card. You can also open the card at any time from the profile menu at the top right of the navbar: press **Account & Security**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Enter an amount in USD**

Type the US dollar amount into the card's field. The card describes exactly what it controls: "The USD amount each Instant Buy spends, in the chain’s native token. Instant Buy fires immediately, with no confirmation."

Amounts are whole dollars from $1 to $100,000. A value outside that range is adjusted to the nearest limit when it saves, and decimals are rounded.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Leave the field to save**

The amount saves when you click away from the field. Close the modal; you are set.

{% hint style="success" %}
The trade page pill now shows your amount, for example **Instant · $50**, converted into your display currency. The amount is saved to your account and follows you when you log in on another device.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

#### Buy with one press on the trade page

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
**Find the Instant pill**

Open the token's trade page. The pill with the lightning icon sits at the right end of the token data tabs row and shows your saved amount.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Check your active preset**

The buy executes with your active execution preset's slippage, priority fee, tip, and MEV settings. Hover the pill to see which preset fires, for example **Instant trade \[P1]**. To switch presets or change their settings, see [Execution presets](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/execution-presets).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Press the pill**

The trade panel switches to a market buy for your saved amount and submits it at once.

{% hint style="success" %}
A receipt toast confirms the fill: **Buy confirmed**, with the quantity bought, for example "Bought \~12,400 ZTCK". The position appears under **Positions & orders** and in your Portfolio.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

#### Buy in place from a card or a Discover row

On the Marketplace and on Discover you do not need to open the token first. The buy happens right where you are, and it always buys the token on that card or row, never the one on an open trade page.

![The Instant button at the far right of a Discover row](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ZeroTick-Trade/Public-Assets/2e6995eabfe14239fd7ead6ac3785fe21c7dc747/docs/guides/trading/instant-trade/06-discover-instant.png)

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
**Find the Instant pill on the token**

On a Marketplace project card, the pill sits next to the watchlist star. On Discover, it is the last item on each row.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Press it**

The buy is sent immediately and the pill dims until it completes. A **Buy complete** toast shows the result, for example "Bought 12,400 ZTCK". You stay on the page you were on.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

#### Change or clear the amount

Open **Account & Security** from the profile menu and edit the **Instant Buy amount** card. The new value applies from the next press. To switch Instant Buy back off, clear the field: with no saved amount, every Instant button returns to opening the settings card instead of trading.

<details>

<summary>The button opened settings instead of buying</summary>

No amount is saved, either because this is your first use or because you cleared the field. Instant Buy never picks an amount for you: without a saved amount it opens the **Instant Buy amount** card and does not trade. Set an amount and press again.

</details>

<details>

<summary>"Instant buy isn't available on this chain yet"</summary>

Buying in place from a card or a Discover row works for tokens on EVM chains, for example Ethereum, BSC, or Monad. For tokens on other chains, such as Solana, open the token's trade page and use the **Instant trade** pill there; the trade page supports every tradable chain.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Does Instant Buy skip my security limits?</summary>

No. The limits under **Security limits & 2FA triggers** in Account & Security apply to instant buys like to any other trade: a buy above your **Max buy (USD)** cap is refused, and with a 2FA trade threshold set, larger buys still require a code. See [Security settings](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/security-settings).

</details>

<details>

<summary>I typed a different amount in the Buy panel. Which one is spent?</summary>

The saved Instant Buy amount. Pressing the pill switches the panel to a market buy for your saved amount, replacing whatever was typed there. To buy a custom amount once, use the regular **Buy** flow instead; see [Placing a trade](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/placing-a-trade).

</details>

Instant Buy sends real market orders with no confirmation step, and token prices can move sharply. Read the [Risk & Legal Disclaimer](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/risk-and-legal-disclaimer) before you trade.
