# Launch a token

Launching a token on ZeroTick runs through a three-step wizard: read how it works and accept the terms, configure your token, then review and deploy. This guide walks the full flow, from the **Launch Token** button to your token going live on a bonding curve.

{% hint style="info" %}
You launch from a signed-in account, where your wallet is created for you. Your wallet needs a small amount of the base chain's native token to cover network gas when you deploy; see [Deposit](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/deposit). In V0 you can launch on Solana, Ethereum, Base, or Monad. The other chains ZeroTick supports are for trading only for now.
{% endhint %}

#### Open the launch wizard

Press **Launch Token** in the top navigation. It is the highlighted button in the center of the bar. The wizard opens on its first step. On a narrow screen, open the navigation menu first, then press **Launch Token**.

#### Step 1: How launching works

The first step, **How It Works**, explains the launch in four cards and asks you to accept the terms before you continue.

![Step 1, How It Works: the four cards explaining the launch, with the terms checkbox below](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ZeroTick-Trade/Public-Assets/2e6995eabfe14239fd7ead6ac3785fe21c7dc747/docs/guides/launch/launch-a-token/02-step1-how-it-works.png)

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
**Review how launching works**

Read the four cards: **Create your token in minutes**, **Your token launches on a bonding curve**, **Graduation to a DEX**, and **Understand the fees**. They summarize what happens after you deploy: your token goes live on a bonding curve, people buy and sell, and it graduates to a decentralized exchange once the curve reaches its threshold. For the full mechanics, read [Token Launch](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/token-launch).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Accept the terms and continue**

Tick **I have read and agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy**. The **Continue** button stays disabled until the box is ticked. Press **Continue** to move on to Configure.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

#### Step 2: Configure your token

The **Configure** step collects your token's details. The **Continue** button turns on once the required fields are filled: a project name, a token symbol, a supply, a base blockchain, and a logo.

![Step 2, Configure: the token detail fields including project name, symbol, and logo](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ZeroTick-Trade/Public-Assets/2e6995eabfe14239fd7ead6ac3785fe21c7dc747/docs/guides/launch/launch-a-token/03-step2-configure.png)

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
**Enter the project details**

Type a **Project Name** (at least 3 characters) and an optional **Project Description**. Set the **Token Symbol (Ticker)** using uppercase letters and numbers (at least 2 characters).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Upload your logo**

Under **Logo (Square, 512×512px)**, press **Browse...** and choose a square image. The logo is required. You can also add an optional **Banner** the same way.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Choose the base blockchain**

Open the **Base Blockchain** dropdown and pick where your token launches: **Solana**, **Ethereum**, **Base**, or **Monad**. Your choice sets the trading pair and the chain-specific fields below.

![The Base Blockchain dropdown open, showing Solana, Ethereum, Base, and Monad](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ZeroTick-Trade/Public-Assets/2e6995eabfe14239fd7ead6ac3785fe21c7dc747/docs/guides/launch/launch-a-token/04-step2-blockchain.png)
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Set the supply and decimals**

Enter the **Total Token Supply** and the **Token Decimal**. Each chain applies its own rules:

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Solana" %}
Decimals must be between **6 and 9**. The form shows a note and holds you to that range.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Ethereum" %}
Ethereum tokens launch through an auction. Choose an **Auction Type**, either **Dynamic (Dutch Auction)** or **Static (Fixed Price)**, and set **Tokens to Sell in Auction**. The field pre-fills at 80% of your supply; the rest moves into a liquidity pool when the auction graduates.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Base" %}
Like Ethereum, Base tokens launch through an auction. Pick an **Auction Type** (**Dynamic (Dutch Auction)** or **Static (Fixed Price)**) and set **Tokens to Sell in Auction** (pre-filled at 80% of your supply).
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Monad" %}
Optionally set an **Initial Buy Amount in MON** to buy some of your own tokens as the token launches.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Check the launchpad**

The **Launchpad** field shows which provider hosts your bonding curve and the exchange your token graduates to. On Solana, Ethereum, and Base this is set for you. On Monad you choose between the launchpads offered.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Choose the pair tokens**

**Pair Token Selection** sets which assets buyers can use during the bonding curve. Your base chain's native token is included and locked, and you can add others such as USDC.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Add social links and continue**

Optionally add your **Website**, **X (Twitter)**, **Discord**, and **Telegram** links. Press **Continue** to review.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

#### Step 3: Review and deploy

The **Review & Deploy** step lays everything out in three panels: a preview of your token, the launch configuration, and the fee breakdown.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
**Check the preview and configuration**

The left panel previews your token: logo, name, symbol, supply, base chain, and pair tokens. The middle panel, **Launch Configuration**, shows the bonding curve provider, the exchange your token graduates to, and the launch date (**Today**, **Immediately**).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Review the fee breakdown**

The right panel, **Fee Breakdown**, lists every cost. ZeroTick charges nothing to create a token (**ZeroTick Launch Fee: Free**); the only amount due at launch is network gas, shown as **Due Now (gas)**. Some chains add a one-time deploy fee, listed on its own line. Trading and graduation fees are listed too. Read the whole breakdown before you deploy.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Deploying creates a real token on a public chain and cannot be undone. You sign the transaction with your wallet and pay network gas. Check the fee breakdown before you press Deploy.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Deploy and sign**

Press **Deploy**. Your wallet signs the transaction, and the button steps through **Preparing...**, **Sign Transaction...**, **Submitting...**, and **Deploying...** before it reads **Deployed**.

{% hint style="success" %}
A success screen confirms your token is live and available for trading on ZeroTick, with its address and trading pairs. From there you can open its trade page or go to the Marketplace.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

<details>

<summary>The Deploy button is off</summary>

Deploy stays off while a logo or banner is still uploading. On Solana, it also stays off until your wallet has a Solana address and enough SOL to cover deployment. Wait for the upload to finish, or fund your wallet with the base chain's native token, then deploy.

</details>

<details>

<summary>My wallet asks for a password</summary>

On Ethereum, Base, and Monad launches, the Review step shows an optional **Wallet password** field. Most wallets sign without it, so leave it blank. Only older wallets need a password: if a launch attempt asks for one, enter your wallet password and press **Deploy** again. ZeroTick never stores it.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I launch on more than one chain at once?</summary>

No. Each token launches on a single base chain. Buyers on other chains can still buy it, because ZeroTick converts their asset for them; see [Cross-chain trading](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/cross-chain-trading).

</details>

<details>

<summary>Which chains can I launch on?</summary>

Solana, Ethereum, Base, and Monad. The other chains ZeroTick supports are for trading only in V0.

</details>

Launching a token deploys a real contract and moves funds on a public chain, and the deployment cannot be reversed. Read the [Risk & Legal Disclaimer](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/risk-and-legal-disclaimer) before you launch.
