# Deposit & Withdraw

Depositing and withdrawing move funds between the outside world and your ZeroTick wallet. Your wallet is non-custodial, so every address is yours and only you can authorize funds leaving it. This page explains what each flow is and how to move funds safely. For the click-by-click steps, follow the [Deposit](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/deposit), [Withdraw](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/withdraw), and [Swap](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/swap) guides.

### Depositing funds

A deposit means sending crypto from an external wallet or exchange into your ZeroTick wallet. You share your ZeroTick address for the chain you are funding, then send to it from the other side. Receiving funds is free; you only pay the sending network's gas, which goes to that network and not to ZeroTick.

Open the deposit screen from the **Deposit** button in the navbar. It shows:

* a **Network** dropdown to choose the chain you are funding,
* a QR code and your full address for that chain,
* a **Copy address** button, plus a share action,
* a reminder that reads "Only send \[asset] or tokens on the \[chain] network."

#### Chains you can deposit to

You can deposit and hold funds on eight chains. Each one has a native token that pays for its gas:

| Chain    | Native token |
| -------- | ------------ |
| Solana   | SOL          |
| Ethereum | ETH          |
| BSC      | BNB          |
| Polygon  | POL          |
| Arbitrum | ETH          |
| Base     | ETH          |
| Optimism | ETH          |
| Monad    | MON          |

{% hint style="info" %}
Your balance updates automatically once the deposit confirms on-chain. The deposit screen also shows the minimum amount and typical confirmation time for the chain you select.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="danger" %}
Send only on the chain you selected. Sending an asset to an address on the wrong chain (for example, SOL to an Ethereum address) permanently loses those funds. ZeroTick cannot recover them.
{% endhint %}

<details>

<summary>Why do several chains show the same address?</summary>

Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, and Monad are all EVM chains, so they share one wallet address. Solana has its own. The shared address is why choosing the correct chain still matters: funds arrive on whichever chain the sender used, so always send on the chain you picked in the **Network** dropdown.

### Withdrawing funds

Withdrawing sends funds out of your ZeroTick wallet to an address you choose. It uses the unified **Send** flow, the same flow you use to move funds to your own wallet or to swap one asset for another. A withdrawal is a Send where "Sending to" is set to **External Address**.

The Send flow has three steps:

1. **Set up.** Choose the chain and asset, enter the amount, and set the destination. For a withdrawal, switch "Sending to" to **External Address**, then paste the recipient address or pick a saved one.
2. **Review.** Check the summary before anything is signed. A same-chain send shows the amount, chain, recipient, and network fee. A cross-chain send shows a quote. Press **Confirm & Send** to continue.
3. **Send.** The transfer is submitted, and you get a confirmation with a link to view it on the block explorer.

Before you continue, ZeroTick checks that the address matches the destination chain. An address shaped for the wrong chain is rejected at the setup step, so you cannot accidentally send to an incompatible address.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Withdrawals cannot be reversed once submitted. When two-factor authentication is on, external withdrawals ask for a 2FA code by default before signing. You can also lock withdrawals to saved addresses in Account & Security.
{% endhint %}

For the full walkthrough, follow the [Withdraw](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/withdraw) guide. To move funds between chains in the same flow, see [Cross-chain swaps](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/portfolio-and-wallet/cross-chain-swaps) or the [Swap](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/swap) guide.

### Fees

Every fee is shown before you confirm, so you never approve an amount you have not seen.

* **Deposits** cost only the sending network's gas. That gas is paid to the network, and ZeroTick is not part of the deposit.
* **Same-chain withdrawals** show the network fee in the review step.
* **Cross-chain sends** show a single fee in the quote before you confirm.

For how ZeroTick's fees work across the rest of the app, see [Fees and pricing](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/fees-and-pricing).

### Saved withdrawal addresses

You can save destination addresses you use often, so you do not paste them each time. Each saved address has a label, a chain, and the address itself, and you can pick it during the Send flow instead of typing. Saved addresses are stored with your account, so they are available on any device you sign in on.

Saved addresses also power an optional safety control: when you lock withdrawals to saved addresses in Account & Security, an external withdrawal can only go to an address you saved earlier. Removing a saved address asks for a 2FA code when two-factor authentication is on.

### Staying safe

<details>

<summary>Are my funds held by ZeroTick?</summary>

No. Your ZeroTick wallet is non-custodial. The keys are yours, and only you can authorize funds leaving your wallet. Save your [recovery kit](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/getting-started/security-and-backup) so you always keep access.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Why does an external withdrawal ask for a code?</summary>

When two-factor authentication is on, ZeroTick asks for a 2FA code before signing an external withdrawal by default. It is a protection against someone moving your funds if they reach your session. You can adjust the 2FA triggers in Account & Security.

</details>

<details>

<summary>I sent funds on the wrong chain. Can they be recovered?</summary>

No. Crypto sent to an address on the wrong chain is not recoverable by ZeroTick. Always confirm the chain in the **Network** dropdown matches the chain you are sending from before you send.
