# Getting Started

ZeroTick takes you from sign-up to your first trade without a browser extension, a seed phrase, or an existing wallet. Create an account with email or a social login, Google, X, or Discord, and a non-custodial wallet is set up for you automatically, with addresses across every supported chain. This section walks you through each step.

{% hint style="info" %}
Your wallet is non-custodial. The private keys are created on your device and never reach ZeroTick's servers, so the only backup is the one you keep. Save your recovery kit early.
{% endhint %}

### Start here

Three short pages take you from a new account to a funded, secured wallet. Read them in order, or jump to the one you need.

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden data-card-target data-type="content-ref"></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Create your account</strong></td><td>Sign up with email, Google, X, or Discord. Every method creates the same account.</td><td><a href="https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/getting-started/create-your-account">https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/getting-started/create-your-account</a></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Set up your wallet</strong></td><td>Your non-custodial multichain wallet is ready the moment you sign up, no setup needed.</td><td><a href="https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/getting-started/set-up-your-wallet">https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/getting-started/set-up-your-wallet</a></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Security and backup</strong></td><td>Save your recovery kit and keep your wallet password safe.</td><td><a href="https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/getting-started/security-and-backup">https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/getting-started/security-and-backup</a></td></tr></tbody></table>

### Your first few minutes

Once your wallet is ready, these three guides take you from an empty balance to your first trade:

1. [Deposit](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/deposit): add funds to your wallet.
2. [Marketplace tour](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/marketplace-tour): find tokens worth a look.
3. [Placing a trade](https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/placing-a-trade): buy or sell your first token.

### Keep your account safe

Your wallet holds real assets, so back it up before you fund it.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Your recovery kit is the only backup of your wallet keys. Download it and store it somewhere only you can reach, before you deposit funds.
{% endhint %}

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden data-card-target data-type="content-ref"></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Recovery kit</strong></td><td>Download and safely store the only backup of your wallet keys.</td><td><a href="https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/recovery-kit">https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/recovery-kit</a></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Two-factor authentication</strong></td><td>Add a second check to sensitive actions like withdrawals.</td><td><a href="https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/two-factor-authentication">https://zerotick-trade.gitbook.io/documentation.v1.1/user-guides/two-factor-authentication</a></td></tr></tbody></table>
